Creating Your Account

Go to secrets.ai in any browser on any device. Click sign up. You need:

• An email address
• A password

That's the entire requirement. No real name, no phone number, no social media login, no credit card for the free tier. Account creation takes under 60 seconds from the sign-up page to active account.

After email confirmation, you start with:

• 200 Moments as a one-time starting credit
• Full character library access — browse all ~94 pre-built characters
• 20 messages per day on the free plan

For users who want anonymity: use a dedicated email address not linked to your real identity. The platform doesn't require identity verification at any tier.

Choosing Your First Character

The character selection is the first meaningful decision you make. You have two options:

Select a pre-built character: Browse the ~94 hyper-realistic female characters (and some anime options). Each has a pre-built personality and scenario context. Selecting one puts you one click from a first conversation.

Create a custom character: The first custom character is free. Subsequent characters cost 1,000-1,500 Moments. Custom creation gives you control over:

• Ethnicity (9 options), body type (6 options), voice (6 options)
• Skin tone, eye color, hairstyle
• Personality traits: confidence, playfulness, dominance, intelligence
• Profession (5 presets) and personality presets (5 options)
• Hobbies and free-text details

The most important field is free-text details. This is where you describe specific preferences, relationship context, or personality parameters that don't fit the preset options. The AI uses this information from the first message onward. A detailed, specific free-text description produces noticeably more personalized responses than leaving it blank.

When you create or select a character, 4 starter images are auto-generated — useful for visual context before the first conversation.

Starting Your First Conversation

Click into your selected character. You'll see conversation starters — roughly half casual, half suggestive. Use one, or write your own opening.

Three things to establish early:

Tone. The AI calibrates to your conversational register in the first few exchanges. Open in the tone you want the conversation to maintain — romantic and specific, or casual first, or somewhere else.

Specificity. The more specific your inputs, the more personalized the AI's responses. "I'm interested in..." produces better results than generic openers.

Expectations on free. Free users get 20 messages per day with a 500-character limit per message. The memory resets after 2-3 exchanges — there is no continuity between sessions on free. This is by design; it's the key reason to upgrade if you want an ongoing companion relationship.

Managing Your 200 Starting Moments

Here is where most new users go wrong: they spend all 200 Moments on one or two expensive actions without first understanding what they value.

The cost reference:

• Text message: 1-2 Moments (essentially free at scale)
• Image generation: 25-50 Moments per image (available on paid plans only)
• Short video (3 sec): ~50 Moments (Lite tier minimum; not on free)
• Full video clip: ~600 Moments (not available on free)
• Voice call: 100 Moments per minute (not available on free)
• Manual memory save: 10 Moments

On the free plan, image and video generation are not available regardless of Moments balance. Your 200 Moments currently fund text chat (cheap) and will fund images/media once you're on a paid tier.

The smart first-session use of starting Moments: don't spend them. Test the conversation quality through your 20 daily free messages first. Evaluate whether you like the character, the interface, and the chat quality before deciding whether to upgrade. Your Moments carry forward when you upgrade.

Exploring Media Features After Upgrading

Once on a paid plan (Lite or above), media features unlock:

Images (25-50 Moments): Generated within the chat interface. Your 200 starting Moments can fund 4-8 images — a useful test of image quality. Two generation models are available; 4 presets control style and framing.

Video (50-600 Moments per clip): Select a companion image, add a prompt describing desired movement, wait approximately 2 minutes. Short 3-second clips cost ~50 Moments; full clips cost ~600 Moments. Voice calls (100 Moments/minute): Six voice options with natural, adaptable tone. Test briefly before extended use — 100 Moments per minute adds up.

Understanding Which Plan You Actually Need

Most users don't need Premium on day one. Here's the honest breakdown:

Free — adequate for 1-2 evaluation sessions. Not designed for regular use.

Lite ($5.99/month) — right if you want more than 20 messages/day and occasional image access. Memory extends to ~14 days. Video clips available.

Plus ($9.99/month) — the right starting tier for most users. Unlimited messaging removes the daily cap entirely. 3,000 Moments/month covers regular image and occasional video use. Memory extends to ~30 days with topic awareness.

Premium ($19.99/month) — right if relationship continuity through unlimited memory and the Time Machine feature matter to you, or if you generate significant media monthly.

Enabling Privacy Before Paid Use

Two steps worth doing before making any purchase:

Enable Private Mode at the start of each conversation. This provides end-to-end encryption for that conversation and excludes it from AI training data. It must be enabled per conversation — not a global account setting.

Note the billing descriptor. All charges appear as "Sun Clinical Laboratories" on bank statements. No reference to Secrets AI or adult content. Cryptocurrency payments (minimum $20) are also available for users who want no financial paper trail.

Fixing the Most Common First-Week Issues

Hit the 20-message daily limit: This resets every 24 hours. Plan conversations accordingly, or upgrade to Lite (100/day) or Plus (unlimited).

AI forgets the conversation quickly: This is the free tier memory limitation — 2-3 exchange recall is by design. The upgrade to Plus provides 30-day topic memory.

Slow responses: Peak hours cause delays. Try off-peak times — early morning or weekday daytime outside peak US time zones tend to be faster.
